The Discovering CHRIST
program is a 7-week experience where people come together to explore
the relevance of Jesus in their lives and develop a deeper relationship
with Him. It is a situation where people of all backgrounds and levels
of faith become involved in the process of evangelizing within their
faith community. It is a time when family and friends come together
to hear the good news and personally encounter Jesus Christ!

"Faith
is foremost a personal, intimate encounter with Jesus . . . It is
in this way that we learn to know Him better, to love Him, and to
follow Him more and more." -Pope Benedict XVI, October 2009. |

Each of the seven Thursday
evening sessions will begin with a song, a prayer, and delicious meal. Following the meal
a video lesson relevant to the night's topic will be offered through
dessert and coffee after which
participants will break into small groups for further discussion on
the topic. Then for one final moment of the evening, another
song and prayer will send participants on their way to a more enriched
life. Between the 5th and 6th sessions, the gifts of Holy Spirit
will be explored in a Saturday retreat providing participants with even
more spiritual benefits.

What
is the Meaning of Life?
“It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are
living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes
up, he had his eyes on us, had designs on us for glorious living,
part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and
everyone.”
Ephesians 1: 11-12

entire universe in his hands and loves each one of us and the whole
great family with a passionate and faithful love, a love greater
than our infidelities and sins, a love which forgives.”
Pope Benedict XVI, June 23, 2006
